At Optasoft, our mission is to provide companies that harmonize with our values with modern optimization systems at the best price-value ratio available on the market, thus increasing their competitiveness, significantly reducing their costs and increasing their profits.
Our History
The founders of Optasoft Kft. started from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2004 with the aim of creating a free intellectual creative workshop. All of them are recognized specialists who have contributed to solving the challenges of industrial production processes and supply chains with research and innovation for many years.
We have been partnering with AIMMS since 2006. We work in the mathematical modeling platform of AIMMS, we develop software tailored to the unique needs of our customers.
That year also saw the start of the first real Optasoft project with Graboplast.
After the 2008 economic crisis, the redefinition of the company's internal processes and values began.
In the following years, company management became more conscious. In order to provide a continuous overview of the financial area, we created the CashFlow software and reviewed the company's current affairs at weekly meetings.
In 2011, we became a partner of the international consulting company ICG Integrated Consulting Group.
Since 2012, we have been operating according to the agile approach, using the scrum method.
In 2013, we introduced ISO, described our processes, and obtained official ISO certification.
Since 2017, we have been partners of GTS and exclusive Central European distributors of the TransIT software.
In March 2020, as a result of the first wave of COVID, we switched to home office operation. That's when we started doing yoga together.
This year was also the first Optimization of our Service project.
Our first Digital Twin project started in 2021, which has since been followed by several others.
Our history combines the results of our international scientific background and our decades-long efforts towards conscious development. This combination enables us to provide the highest level of services to our customers and to maintain our leading position in the industry by constantly keeping up with the changing business environment.

After studying chemical engineering and mathematics in Budapest, he obtained a Ph.D. degree in Lyon. As an employee of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, he worked in various projects with BorsodChem, Dreher and Chinoin.

During her studies in engineering management at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, she started working at Optasoft in 2009 as an office manager and later as a developer. Today, she is one of the company's most reliable employees. "I see the world as a system" - with her systemic approach, she quickly and efficiently models complex business problems and solves them with knowledge of process thinking.

Zsolt deeply believes that the biggest breakthrough can be achieved with an interdisciplinary approach. During his chemical engineering studies, he made great efforts to acquire intensive knowledge in the fields of business sciences, IT, logistics and mathematics.

It was her childhood dream to become a forensic medicine expert, which is why she graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in chemical engineering. Later, when she encountered semi-industrial and industrial equipment, she realized that optimizing these complex structures might be the challenge she wanted to tackle. As a third-year university student, she found Optasoft Kft. and fell in love with coding and optimization. Today she is the head of development at Optasoft.
Marketing Assistnat
Sára has been a valuable member of the Optasoft team since 2019, contributing to the marketing efforts behind the scenes. With a background in food industry engineering, Sára successfully completed studies at the University of Szeged and the Corvinus University in Budapest.
Senior Modeling Developer
Csaba graduated in mathematics from ELTE University and worked as a teacher of mathematics and physics. He has been a member of the Optasoft development team since 2021. He specializes in building Digital Twin systems.

Backoffice Assistant
Luca is a Business Informatics student who has been interested in the world of IT since childhood. As a Backoffice Assistant, she supports the team’s organizational operations and contributes to the success of projects, with a strong focus on efficient background processes and smooth day-to-day functioning. Through her work, she provides a stable and reliable foundation, helping the team achieve shared results.
Modeling Developer
Dorka holds an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) and has been a member of the team since 2023. What she finds most compelling in mathematics is the moment when real-world challenges are translated into formal models, and meaningful solutions emerge through the application of the right methods.
She is particularly interested in the process of turning practical questions into well-defined models, and from there into interpretable and valuable results.
Marketing & Sales Manager
Balázs has an international background in biotechnology and several years of experience in sales. His systems-oriented thinking and expertise contribute effectively to the successful delivery of projects.
He has been a member of the team since 2023, where he leads the Marketing and Sales team. As he puts it, “success is measured by the smiles of our clients.”
Senior Consultant
Istvan’s motto, “Freedom within the set frames” guides him to create effective solutions with his clients in complex business environments.
Those solutions enable the organizations to quick predictable execution within those frames and flexible adaptation with planned freedom. That assures robust processes and creates organizational learning simultaneously. Istvan’s evolutionary thinking is dated back to studying geology and has crystallized in his successfully defended PhD in the field of supply chain management and network sciences.

Sebi is currently studying Computer Science at the Faculty of Informatics and Sciences of the University of Oradea. In his work, he focuses on turning academic knowledge into practical industry experience.
He has a strong interest in the technical complexities of supply chain optimization and approaches his tasks with an analytical mindset. Committed to continuous professional development, he is motivated by the opportunity to work on real-world logistical challenges in a collaborative professional environment.
